This is how it started

A community spread across six tools

Product Club had been running as a loose network across Slack, Notion, Lu.ma, and a half-finished website. Members were active but exhausted by the context-switching. Organizers were burning out copy-pasting event details across platforms.

The brief: pull the community into a single home that respects how members actually use it — light-touch, async, low-pressure.

Research

What members told us

  • 01

    Events were the gravitational center

Everything else — threads, intros, resources — orbited around events. The product had to lead with them.

  • 02

Members wanted a quiet feed, not a loud one

No infinite scroll, no notifications by default. A weekly digest beat a daily push.

  • 03

Trust came from real names and real intros

Anonymous accounts killed engagement. A short, structured intro flow set the tone for everything after.

Information architecture of Product Club — events, threads, members, resources.
IA — four primary objects, each with a calm, repeatable detail page.

Design

How the product is organized

  • 01

    Events as the homepage

Upcoming, in-progress, and recently recorded — with RSVP and replay as first-class actions.

  • 02

A threads model, not a chat model

Slow-by-design conversations with structured prompts so it is always easy to start one.

  • 03

Member profiles you actually want to read

Short bio, current focus, and a "what I am working on" field that updates in one click.
